nashville cellar one wedding- Jessica & Ben

Thank you Rachel Moore for asking me to be the second photographer for this Cellar One wedding. I had a blast shooting Jessica & Ben’s wedding downtown. Their DIY details were so fun. And WEDDING PIE! Did you hear me? WEDDING PIE!

I’ve probably walked up First Avenue in Nashville a bajillion times. I’ve seen this venue, Cellar One, a bajillion times & I had no clue what it was. That pretty, random courtyard & huge, beautiful red door? Yep, that’s Cellar One. And what a cool place it is for a Nashville wedding. It’s got the feeling of downtown but also a little serenity.

Lauren & Robert were married at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Knoxville & their reception was at the always-gorgeous the Foundry in downtown Knoxville. A huge thanks to the awesome Andrew Childress for seconding shooting for me this wedding. Some of the photos you saw were his!

Happy China Day!

On October 1st 2009 I had the honor of being in Changsha, China when China celebrated it’s 60th year of being the People’s Republic of China. Chinese people celebrate their national day (国庆节) pretty much the same as American’s celebrate the Fourth of July. Good food, good friends, and fun. Oh, and LOTS of fireworks.

Yesterday was China’s National Holiday & I was feeling a little nostalgic. I used this blog post as an excuse to dig through my old photos. It’s been a little over a year since I’ve been in China & I feel it’s pull everyday! I miss China miserably.

Two years ago my friend Wang Hao invited me to Martyr Park (长沙烈士公园) in Changsha, Hunan to celebrate. I’m so thankful for her friendship.

Mai-Li & Josh- preview

Just a little preview of beautiful wedding I shot last weekend in Cosby, TN. I love any excuse to drive in that area, but shooting a wedding in the mountains? That’s my idea of heaven. Be on the lookout for more!

p.s. Can you tell I’ve been obsessed with clouds lately? It’s true.
